Loading Databases Using Proviso
If you do not have access to enteliWEB/enteliCLOUD, you can use the Proviso app to load custom and regular databases to your device.
Requirements to use this feature
- Proviso 2.6 and later running firmware 2.3 and later over Bluetooth.
- Bluetooth must be enabled upon powering on your O3 device. If your O3 device starts with Bluetooth turned off, you must enable your Bluetooth and then reboot your device.
- If you have enteliWEB, you can set your BV31 object to On, and then reboot your O3 device to re-initialize database load.
Max database size requirements
If you are running firmware version 2.3 or later
Files up to 5 MB may be loaded onto a device, however Bluetooth Low Energy has a slow transfer rate, and these large files may take multiple minutes to complete. Typical database backups (5kB to 100kB) will load into a device in a reasonable timeframe.
If you are using firmware version 4.16
If you are using firmware version V4.16, files up to 2 MB may be loaded onto a device. Alternatively, you can use embedded web to load databases which will result in faster loading rates. Files may take several minutes to load.
To load a database using Proviso:
- Connect your O3 device over Bluetooth.
- From the Settings tab, tap the kebab menu
.
- Tap Upload database.
- Select your database file, then tap Upload. The file will take several seconds to upload.
Notes:
- File must be in .ZDD format.
- Maximum file size is 5 MB for firmware version 2.3 or later. If you are using firmware version 4.16, the max file size is 2 MB.
5. Upload progress begins. The O3 will flash green, then restart once the file has been successfully uploaded. Do NOT power off, reset, or disconnect from the device while a file is being loaded.
CAUTION: Proviso will stop sending requests if your mobile screen turns off due to inactivity. Ensure your mobile screen remains on while writing to objects.
