Wiring Guidelines
The O3 requires a 24 VDC power supply. For power and I/O wiring, we recommend using 22–14 AWG 2-conductor copper wire. For network cabling, use Cat5e or Cat6 cables.
Earth ground all devices in the same circuit at the power supply.
Network Guidelines
The O3 Sense and O3 Edge are standalone devices - they can connect to other BACnet and IoT devices on a network without any additional hardware.
Other building automation controllers can access sensor data and send commands to control the state of an O3 Sense/O3 Edge, as well as command the outputs of an O3 Edge.
The O3 Edge can also contain programming in PG objects to add local application logic to the device.
Note: The O3 will not route between BACnet/SC and other interfaces (IP or Ethernet).
Does the O3 support NET0 (local BROADCAST)?
NET0 (local BROADCAST) is supported in firmware version 2.4.5 or later on both Ethernet and IP. If you have a previous firmware version, generally you will want to BROADCAST or set up a specific enteliWEB BACnet address if you are trying to reduce broadcast traffic.
