The AV41 object (Sound Level Rollup) has been added to the BACnet default database in firmware version 2.6.
The AV41 objects displays a 10 second filtered average dB SPL value.
Where can I find the average dB SPL value (audio level) in the AV41 object?
The average dB SPL value diplays in the blue banner and in the Control Signal field.
What is the purpose of the AV41 (Sound Level Rollup) object?
The purpose of this object is to "slow down" audio signal values and reduce the effect of momentary spikes in the signal to improve usefulness of audio level for heat mapping, alarming, etc.
How do I review real-time audio data via BACnet or MQTT?
You can view audio data in the AI17 object.
How do I review historical audio data via BACnet or MQTT?
BACnet and MQTT do not store historical data. You can use the TL (Trend Log) object and MT (Multi-Trend) objects to view historical audio data. Note: enteliWEB does have on-board metrics, i.e., min/max/average values, that can be viewed in the AI17 object.
What are the benefits of using the filtered audio value (AV41) over the raw, unfiltered audio value (AI17)?
AV41 provides a sound pressure level value that represents an average of the samples taken over the last 10 seconds. This object presents a better representation of the sustained sound pressure level in a space in contrast to the raw, as fast as we sense it, value presented in AI17.
