The O3 Edge contains two Uniputs, which are software selectable I/O points. An I/O point can only be either an input or an output at any given time. Therefore, an O3 Edge can be configured for two inputs, two outputs, or one input and one output. The type of BACnet object created for the corresponding point determines whether the point acts as an input or output, and whether its value is represented as an analog or binary value. You cannot create both an input and output object for one point. For a full list of possible objects for the I/O points, see the I/O Objects section of BACnet Objects in the O3.
Controlling Outputs
As of firmware release 2.1, the O3 Edge can have up to 5 PG objects created to contain local application logic for the O3. External control is also possible, using commands over BACnet or MQTT.
For best results, or for applications requiring a fast response time, use local PG objects in the O3 Edge to control its outputs.
